Depending on your company policy, you response may be used to determine if you should refrain from coming to work and isolate at home.
What is domestic travel?
Domestic travel includes:
- Travel to any other state within the united states
- Travel to another county or island within the state of Hawaii
If you answer yes, you may be required to answer a few follow-up questions about your participation in the pre-travel testing.
- Did you complete the state’s pre-test program?
- Have you (and the members of your household) been granted a quarantine exemption from the State?
What is the pre-test program?
The Safe Travels Hawaii program allows you to take a COVID test prior to flying to Hawaii. By answer yes to the the pre-test program, you are stating that you took a COVID test and received the results prior to flying back to Hawaii.
How do I know if I have been granted a quarantine exemption?
If participating in the Safe Travels program, you will be required to submit your negative COVID test prior to boarding your flight to Hawaii. State officials will review your documents and notify you if you are required to quarantine.

Regardless as to whether or not you participate in the Safe Travels Hawaii program, your company may still require you to isolate after traveling. If you have questions pertaining to this, please contact your HR/Administration staff.
