Android and Apple have included a framework and protocol specification to facilitate digital contact tracing during the COVID-19 pandemic. This feature allows public health authorities to notify people of possible contact with a person that has tested positive for COVID-19. The Hawaii department of health has released an app called AlohaSafe Alert. Learn more about the app on AlohaSafealert,org
If you are using the AlohaSafe alert app, you will receive a notification on your device if you have been exposed to someone that has tested positive for COVID-19.
- If you receive a notification within the last 14 days, you should answer yes to the question.
- If you have the app and did not receive a notification, answer “no” to the question
- If you do not have the app, answer “no” to the question
